![]() A Guide to the Beck Whitehead Collection
Biographical SketchBeck Whitehead is a San Antonio artist who served as Chair of Papermaking and Book Arts at the Southwest School of Art until 2016. Whitehead creates paper paintings and one-of-a-kind books. She holds a BA from Trinity University and an MFA from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She has taught papermaking workshops at several national conferences and at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Tennessee; Pyramid Atlantic, Maryland; and the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Maine. Beck Whitehead has previously served on the Board of Directors for Hand Papermaking Inc. Exhibitions include the Center for Book and Paper Arts in Chicago and the Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking in Atlanta, Georgia.
