![]() A Guide to the Edward Necker Honeymoon in Mexico Scrapbook, 1940
Biographical SketchEdward Necker took his new wife Mariquita Necker to Mexico for their honeymoon trip in June of 1940. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and Content NoteThis scrapbook is comprised of black and white photos containing detailed caption of Edward Necker and his wife, Mariquita during their honeymoon through south Texas and into Mexico via automobile, on the Pan American highway. The Neckers visited an endless list of locales including Valles, Tamazuchale, Jacala, Mexico City, Cholula, Puebla, and Taxco. Also included is a meticulously detailed 28 page journal of their travels accompanied by more than 150 black and white photos (2 ¼ x 3 ¼ inches); vivid descriptions of meals, plants, architecture, sights and activities that the Necker’s partook while on their honeymoon. The album and journal kept by Edward Necker is an exhaustive well-written and visually stimulating account of Mexico in 1940. Return to the Table of Contents
