Biographical SketchPhotographs in the collection capture the lives of several African American soldiers. The scrapbook author and photographed subjects are unknown. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and Content NoteThe photograph album cover is inscribed, "Souvenir of Germany" and contains black and white photographs of African American soldiers circa World War II. The photographs appear to have been taken at Fort Hood, Texas and Germany. Photographs show individuals and small groups of African American soldiers in various poses of relaxation or training. The majority of the photographs are loose and are housed protective sleeves.
