Scope and Content Note

Collection consists of one photograph album. Photographs include landscapes of Del Rio, Texas and Mexico, as well as family photographs. Family pictures consist of images from the military service of Buddy, schoolhouses near Del Rio, Texas, vacation snapshots, friends and family, and life on the Texas-Mexico border in the early 20th century. Most of the photographs are black and white, however 61 hand-colored photographs are included. There are 303 photographs total.

Detailed Description of the Collection

Del Rio Photograph Album, circa 1914-1923

Items in the scrapbook include a collection of photographs that show a couple's life on the Texas-Mexico Border in the early 20th century. The photographs cover a range of themes, such as Texan and Mexican landscapes, canyons found near Del Rio, husband Buddy's military service, schoolhouses, vacations, family and friends, and social activities they participated in. The majority of the photographs are black and white, however, 61 photographs were hand colored. There are 303 photographs total. .
