He began building in San Antonio in 1918 and developed Leland Terrace, Oak Park Estates and Oak Park Village at the New Braunfels and Nacogdoches intersection.

The Busby Building Corporation records include approximately 125 blueprints, architectural plans, and sketches. The bulk of the plans are for residences in Oak Park Estates, which extends north from the New Braunfels-Nacogdoches intersection to Interstate 410, and were built from the 1950s-1970x..
