![]() Inventory of the Jean Longwith Papers, 1976-1991
Biographical NoteJean Longwith helped establish the San Antonio Collection Radio, Television and Film program during her tenure at the college from 1964 to 1983. She initiated, designed and developed the curriculum and served as the general manager for the college radio station KSYM, 90.1 FM, the first community college radio station in Texas. Longwith also initiated the San Antonio Chapter of the International Television Association and served as its first president. She served as president of the San Antonio Branch of the American Association of University Women, Chairman of the San Antonio Cable Television Advisory Committee and member of the Association for Women in Communications, San Antonio Professional Chapter.
