Los Tejanos Conference Records, May 16-19, 1990
The Los Tejanos Conference was created to be a seminar to enable 15-20 officials to meet with Mexican Americans and learn their views on a wide range of political, social, and economic issues. The seminar sessions cover topics such as business and economic development, immigration, social conditions and demographics (including health, housing, working conditions,etc.), human rights, political participation, and education. Presenters include educators, labor leaders, farm workers, political orgaizers, judges, and politicians. Each session includes several short presentations followed by open discussion.

This is a preliminary inventory only, and additions are ongoing. The collection is currently unprocessed, but is available to researchers in the Benson Collection Rare Books and Manuscripts Reading Room.
