John P. Davidson, journalist, novelist, and educator, began his career in 1976 writing for Texas Monthly. He held editorial positions at The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Texas Monthly, Vanity Fair, Texas Architect, and the San Antonio Express-News. As a freelance writer he contributed to GQ, Fortune, Mirabella, Elle, House and Garden, Preservation, and Mexico Business. In addition, he held teaching positions at the Universidad Catolica de Puerto Rico and the University of the Americas in Cholula, Mexico.
