A Guide to the Charles Laurence Baker Papers, 1929
Charles Laurence Baker was a structural geologist. He worked with the United States Geological Survey, the Southern Pacific Railway, Standard Oil Company of California, Rio Bravo Oil Company, L. E. Hanchett, East Coast Oil Company of America, and Tidewater Oil Company. Baker was chairman of the geology department of Texas A&M University, and worked for the Bureau of Economic Geology at the University of Texas at Austin. Baker was known as a geologic explorer, and authored nearly fifty books and papers. He died in 1979.
