A Guide to the Alice C. Beckenbach Reminiscences, 1989, undated
Alice Curtiss Beckenbach (1917-2010) came from a family of mathematicians and was a lifelong enthusiast of the subject. She married two prominent mathematicians: Albert W. Tucker, with whom she had three children, and Edwin Beckenbach, in 1960.
Mrs. Beckenbach attended the winter and summer meetings of the Mathematical Association of America for 85 years. She delivered her talk, Reminiscences of a Mathematologist, at three meetings of the MAA and AMS.
The collection consists of one letter from Peter Duren to Alice Beckenbach regarding her talk, Reminiscences of a Mathematologist, and an annotated reprint of the talk.
