Addison was a Methodist
clergyman (1820-1898), circuit rider in the Texas Conference, served in the
Confederate Army, represented the American Bible Association in Texas, and
became charter member of the Northwest Texas Conference in 1866. Papers
document the history of the Methodist Church in Texas as well as the Addison
family and Addison’s career. |

manuscript biography of Texas pioneer Methodist preacher Joseph P. Sneed, as
well as two typescript copies.
