Douglas, Jr. Jefferson Davis (1808-1889) was an American politician who served as President of the Confederate States of America from 1861 to 1865 during the Civil War. Judah P. Benjamin (1811-1884) was an American politician and lawyer who was a citizen of the Confederate States of America. He held three consecutive Cabinet positions in the government of the Confederate States of America, but previously was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives and a U.S. Senator from Louisiana. Steven R. Mallory (1813-1873) was an American politician and Secretary of the Navy for the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
