Ed Anderson was an employee of Nalle Lumber Company. No further information is known.

Scope and Contents

A leather-bound album with 31 photographs and 36 printed calling and visiting cards documents residents of the Austin, Texas area from the late 19th century. All of the photographs are portraits, but none of the sitters is identified. Sitters are primarily young men and women, but a few children are also pictured. Photographic formats include cabinet cards, cartes-de-visite and tintypes. Some are hand-tinted. All of the photographers were from the Austin area; they include Chapman, George Schuwirth, Yancey & Rhomberg, Nicolas Ankenman, C.F. Rhomberg, and Journeay as well as travelling photographer Sam Gallway. The names on the calling cards include: Carl Rhomberg, Otto Skog, Carl L. Petterson, Anna Swenson, Augusta Monson, John Oscar Skog, Alek S. Anderson, Mauda Siholm, Carl Hyltin, Carl Johnson, Emil Johnson, Annie M. Anderson, Elnora Monson, Amanda J. Anderson, Anna Berg, Amanda Swenson, Albert Monson, Willie Lyckman, Carl G. Lyckman, Amanda S. Lyckman, Swente Lyckman, Jno G. Berg, Frank O. Lyckman, Johan L. Anderson, August Anderson, Julia Swinson, and Thomas B. Walling.


The album has photographs at the beginning followed by printed calling and visiting cards. The photographs were numbered in the order they appear in the album.
