Scope and Contents

The majority of the collection documents Smith's interest in The Little Theatre of Austin. There are newspaper clippings about the activities of the Theatre from the mid-1930s through the 1940s. Smith also collected the Little Theatre of Austin's programs during this same time period. In addition there is an annotated copy of the script "Nothing Up My Sleeve" from 1945.

Also included in the collection are a limited amount of personal materials. There are photocopies of the pages from a family scrapbook dated from 1929-1931 that chronicle the move to Austin. In addition there are two photographs taken on the steps in front of the Gregory Gym on the University of Texas campus. The first photograph is a group shot of the UT Business School faculty dated 1934; the second photograph is of a Naval ROTC class with the Business School faculty in 1945.
