Historial Note

On November 22, 1963, U.S. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald while traveling in a presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas. After his death, The Texas Attorney General's Office collected news articles concerning is assassination and its immediate aftermath.


Scope and Contents

This collection consists of reports, printed materials, magazine and newspaper clippings related to the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, the Texas Attorney General's office investigation of the shooting, Lee Harvey Oswald, the Oswald family, and Dallas police officer J. D. Tippitt, as well as several magazine and newspaper accounts of the assassination and subsequent investigations.
