Biographical Note

Charles Max Buck was born on December 6, 1903, to Charles and Alfreda Buck. He married Phyllis Alvera White on July 21, 1926. Together they had four children: Juanita, William, Don, and Laurel. Buck served as a regimental chaplain in the United States Army and Army Air Corps during and after World War II. During his service, he was stationed at air bases in Japan, Alaska, and Illinois. He died in Austin, Texas, on August 18, 1989.
