Ben Sira Construction Company photographs, 1935-1940
The Ben Sira Construction Company was a construction company hired to build the Crystal City Internment Camp in Crystal City, Texas, during World War II. The camp was designed to house families together, with kitchen and dining facilities for each unit. While the Crystal City Internment Camp was originally designed to house people of Japanese descent, it later housed families of Japanese, Italian, Latin American, and German origin.
The Ben Sira Construction Company photographs comprise photographs of the construction of the Crystal City Internment Camp at Crystal City, Texas.
