![]() A Guide to the UT Burdine Hall Dedication, 1970
Historical NoteUniversity of Texas at Austin’s Burdine Hall was completed in 1970 and dedicated on December 14, 1970. The building houses the Government and Sociology departments, as well as part of the Department of Anthropology. Burdine Hall was named for John Alton Burdine who served as a professor in the Government Department, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Vice President of the University under Homer Price Rainey.
