Biographical Note

Adlai E. Stevenson (1900-1965) was an American politician and diplomat serving in the Democratic Party. Stevenson was in office between 1949 and 1953 as Governor of Illinois, and between 1961 and 1965 as United States Ambassador to the United Nations.
