In June 2000, the Office of Business Affairs, which was previously its own entity, became part of the larger University Operations.

The UT Office of the Vice President for University Operations Records contains contracts, invoices, and correspondence between the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) from 1986 to 2010; administrative correspondence from 1977 to 2008; budget material, facilities and services planning records, risk and crisis management records, public relations records, and university policies and reports from 2000 to 2012, including reports and records related to the President's Sustainability Steering Committee. The collection also contains Diazo microfiche copies of UT Physical Plant records, including building maintenance, projects, etc. Also, digital files consisting of administration correspondence, public relations records, organization charts, planning records, university rules, policies, and procedures, and non-fiscal reports and studies.
