Historical NoteDonated by Cal Campbell of Fort Worth, this collection contains letters received by family members immediately following World War I (1918-1920) and during World War II (1942-1945). Martha Anderson, Campbell’s aunt, served as a pen pal to several soldiers during WWI and in the years immediately following while they were still stationed abroad. Additional letters dating from World War II were written by students of I. E. McWhiter, Campbell’s uncle, who taught classes at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth.
