Corsicana resident C. L. Jester served as county judge and wrote a short history of the area for the Corsicana Daily Sun and The Corsicana Semi-Weekly Light in 1922.
Consisting of Photostat copies of historical articles, the C. L. Jester Narrative, 1922, chronicles the history of Navarro County and Corsicana, Texas between 1837 and 1922. The narrative discusses early founders, religious institutions, education, business and the economy, the oil industry, Corsicana during the Civil War and the coming of the railroad, among other topics.
