Historical Note

In 1969, Guerry Strong initiated a lawsuit against the Sunray DX Oil Company over land ownership of property in Victoria and San Patricio counties in Texas. Strong accused the company of trespassing on the Vairin and Fernet tracts of land located near the convergence of the Guadalupe and San Antonio rivers. Additionally, he laid claim to all oil, gas, and minerals rendered by the land. Strong lost the case, however, since the court illustrated through surveys that the tracts of land belonged to a third party.
