Historical NoteThe International Association of Oil Field, Gas Well and Refinery Workers was formed in 1918. It changed its name to the Oil Workers International union in 1937. On June 1, 1954 several independent oil unions merged to form the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers International Union. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThe majority of this artificial collection contains agreements for the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers International Union and its previous incarnations, the International Association of Oil Field, Gas Well and Refinery Workers and the Oil Workers International Union. The agreements for these unions cover locals in Districts 4 and 7 and the union as a whole. This collection also contains labor agreements for the Employees Representation Federation, the International Chemical Workers Union, and the International Union of United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement workers of America.
