Biographical Sketch

A part of the College of Agricultural Sciences at Texas Tech University, the Department of Parks Administration and Landscape Architecture offered both undergraduate and graduate degrees. One of the first park administration and outdoor planning programs in the United States, it emphasized such areas as studies in environmental land resource and management, aerial photography, park planning, watershed management, leisure science, and open space planning.

This 11 box collection consists of reports, office files and published materials either written by or used as reference by department faculty and students. The collection is organized into four series: National Parks (materials and reports pertaining to national parks), Office files, Published Materials (reports and master plans from various Texas municipalities), and Oversized Items. This collection also contains 229 photographs.
