Sallie Harral Photograph Album
An Inventory of the Collection
Little information is known about Sallie Harral. She appears in the 1896 University of Texas Cactus yearbook as a member of the History Class of 1899. She would have been born about 1876.
A suede-covered album with 29 black and white photographs documents areas of Austin, Texas, circa 1890-1910. Some images include people but no identifications given. Many places are recognizable. Sites pictured include Mt. Bonnell, the Austin Dam (intact and broken), the Colorado River, assorted bridges, downtown as seen from the Capitol building, creeks, and several views of the gardens at the Texas State Hospital (formerly known as a lunatic asylum).
