Texas Music Museum Board Records
An Inventory of the Collection
The Texas Music Museum collects and preserves artifacts, documents and reference material surrounding the diverse traditions of Texas music, and utilizes these collections in the presentation of exhibits, educational programs, and performances. The Museum was established in 1984 as part of the Texas Sesquicentennial Project and is currently housed in the Marvin C. Griffin Building at 1009 E. 11th Street, Austin, Texas.
The collection is comprised of Texas Music Museum Board agendas, meeting minutes and supporting documents dating from 2002 to 2010. Supporting documents include stategic plans, flyers for events, proposals for the Texas Music Festival and budgets. In addition, there are posters advertising Museum events such as the 1st Annual Texas Music Fest, Austin Museum Date and a benefit concert.
