An Inventory of the Collection
Jamie Ward is an Austin based poster artist who utilizes silk screening to create vivid music posters. Some of his influences include: Frank Kozik, Robert Burns, and Geoff Peveto. He has been creating posters since the mid 2000s.
The collection contains approximately ten music posters advertising music shows at various music venues such as Emo’s, The Parish, Hole in the Wall, Austin City Limits, and The Conservatory. Bands and musicians such as Electric Wizard, Sons of Otis, Unearthly Trance, Stereo Total, The Fall, Comets on Fire, Rubble Rusted Shut, The Double, Tussle, The Blood Thirsty Lovers, Baptist Generals, Pearly Gates, Rockland Eagles, Moonlight Towers, Bright Eyes, Adults, Numbers and Genders, Murs, The Perceptionists, The Sounds, Division of Laura Lee, Real McKenzies, The Briefs, The Ends, Sweethearts, and Modest Mouse are represented.
